Congregation Beth Elohim in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is excited to announce the opening of Ha’Geemnasia Hebrew Summer Camp – a brand new Israeli style summer camp for children entering kindergarten through fourth grade. With dual-language and immersion tracks, this neighborhood focused, play-based program will take your child on a “trip” to Israel this summer. Accompanied by specially trained Israeli counselors passionate about Hebrew, Jewish identity and Israeli culture, the curriculum developed by expert educators at CBE, will visit a different Israeli city each week. Campers will have the chance to experience a variety of one of a kind camp activities, engage in creative special projects and participate in exciting field trips all through the Hebrew language.

In collaboration with experts on childhood second language acquisition your child will not only finish the summer with Hebrew language skills and the associated cognitive development, but also as a transmitter of identity, Hebrew and Israeli culture will make Jewish identity come alive for your children. They will have the opportunity to explore their “Jewishness” through the interests and activities they most enjoy, whether its art, dance, sports, nature or cooking, ensuring a deep connection on their own terms. Join us on our exciting trip this summer bridging Brooklyn and Israel and building community!

Children of all faiths, ethnic backgrounds, and Hebrew levels are welcome – from beginners to fluent speakers.
