Prizmah's YOU Lead is an eight-month leadership development program that combines the best of online and in-person learning and covers a wide breadth of topics that leaders grapple with every day. Together with peers, mentors, and top innovators in the day school world, participants reflect on practices and beliefs, challenge assumptions about Jewish education, and dive deeply into the defining issues of Jewish day school leadership in the 21st century.

YOU Lead is designed for any leader in any Jewish day school at any stage in his or her career. By offering separate cohorts for senior, mid-level, and entry-level leaders, YOU Lead ensures that participants connect with other leaders who are confronting similar challenges. Acceptance into this program is highly competitive and typically welcomes between 30 and 40 participants a year.

The YOU Lead curriculum is designed to provide highly personalized support that promotes professional growth and addresses leaders' most pressing priorities.

On a weekly basis, YOU Leaders participate in online learning modules and have the chance to interact with a variety of leading experts in Jewish education.

On a monthly basis, participants meet with their mentors to confidentially work through their most pressing leadership challenges and questions.

On a biannual basis, YOU Leaders gather in-person to focus on the practical issues that arise throughout the school year and learn from some of the biggest thought leaders in leadership and education.

Topics covered during the year include:

  • change management
  • reflective leadership
  • working with your board
  • leading your faculty, including supporting teachers’ growth
  • effective hiring
  • supervision and evaluation
  • school finance
  • Israel education
  • navigating the transition from being a teacher to becoming a school leader.
