The Gamification of Location-based Learning - A MOFET Webinar

This free webinar, to be held on February 13, 2013, 7 PM Israel Time, 12 PM EST led by David Lachmish and Shani Ziv will deal with the gamification of location-based learning. During the webinar, we will analyze several gaming structures related to location-based learning, and extract the gamification principles embedded in them. Participants are requested to install chrome browser and enable translation. In addition, we will create a game out of location-based interactive learning objects created by the webinar participants. Together we will create a simple board game. Objects will be created in a trilingual format. The webinar will be conducted in English.

 

David Lachmish, together with Shani Ziv, are the developers of "The Wandering" platform for location based learning and are part of the idiosyncratic project. They are both instructional designers by profession. They hail from a humanistic educational background and have technological leanings. Their pedagogical perspective is mainly constructivist, especially in the web 2.0 developing environment. They have worked for a variety of organizations ranging from public service (leadership program development), health and industry, to the military, in both formal and informal education.
